When you visit the Barcelona city with your family, some popular family activities may suit you. This page will summarize some of the activities that are suitable for families in Barcelona and includes the site visitor feedback and suggested places to visit and stay when visiting Barcelona as a family group.
Barcelona amusement parks
Tibidabo amusement park is one of the three oldest parks in Europe.Located at the top of Tibidabo mountain it offers magnificent views of Barcelona.Tibidabo amusement park is only 25 minutes from Plaça de Catalunya using a special bus service called the Tibibus. The bus leaves from Plaza Catalunya(in front of a building called"Caja Madrid").
The opening hours for Tibidabo theme park vary depending on the time of year and I recommend you check their official web site for information. Please note that Tibidabo is more of a fairground suitable for younger children than teens.
You can get there from Barcelona by RENFE trains from Barcelona Sants or Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona city centre.Look for trains on the Salou line and you need to get off at the station called PortAventura.Alternatively you can catch a bus from Barcelona Sants rail station direct to the theme park.
The journey time to PortAventura journey is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes from the city centre. Please see our website Salou-Tourist-Guide.com for operating hours, admission fees, and details of their current attractions.
