Niagara Falls State Park Parking:Cars

Niagara Falls State Park uses automatic parking technology for our two primary lots:The Prospect Parking Lot(Lot 1),on the Mainland and the Cave of the Winds Parking Lot(Lot 2),on Goat Island.

Our automated lots are in effect 24 hours a day,7 days a week,365 days a year. There is a fee of$10 to park all day, even throughout the peak season.

Our automated parking system makes parking your car at Niagara Falls a snap!Simply enter the Lot,pull a ticket and park in a vacant parking spot.Take the ticket into Niagara Falls State Park with you and find a Parking Pay Station to pay the fare before getting back the car to leave. In Lot 1 there are two pay stations off the circular walkway on the way to the visitors center, and in Lot 2 there are two pay stations located adjacent to the new Welcome Center and one on the path toward the Top of the Falls Restaurant.

At a pay station, insert your parking ticket, pay the fee and take the paid ticket. The machines are in English, but, include pictorials for those who need extra assistance. The machines accept both credit cards and US currency.Upon exiting the Lot,insert the paid ticket into the machine located at the exit gate and the arm will raise allowing you to drive out of the lot.The exit process is in pictorial form on the ticket as well.

Visitors participating in the State Parks Empire Passport,Access Pass and Golden Pass programs will be required to present their ticket, along with qualifying documentation,to a staff member at the lot to have their ticket validated.Visitors may also have their ticket validated for these programs at the Main Visitor Center or Cave of the Winds Center during normal operating hours.

Niagara Falls State Park Parking:Buses and RVs Buses, recreational vehicles or vehicles with trailers must utilize Parking Lot 3,located on the east end of Goat Island, which does not have an automated parking system.

While there are four parking lots in the State Park, they tend to fill up early on weekends(including Friday)and holidays which results in heavy traffic entering the park from the Niagara Scenic Parkway. In order to avoid that, you might consider using alternate means into the city from points north, south and east of the park.Rt.62/Niagara Falls Blvd.either from the I-290 or the I-190 is a perfect way to enter the downtown core while avoiding traffic backups. This will take you on city streets and add a few minutes to your trip but could save a great deal of time stuck in traffic.

Once in the downtown core, you may park in a number of city lots that are just moments from the park.Additionally, you may consider using an alternate GPS address of 10 Rainbow Blvd.,Niagara Falls,NY 14303.
