This is my favorite day-trip from Barcelona. You don’t have to be an experienced rock climber to hike this mountain, just patient enough to walk for at least three hours. The reward makes it all well worth it:a spectacular mountain view from the Pyrenees out to the Mediterranean Sea.Barcelona tourist information, tourism Guide:
Public transport is easy, cheap and fast.Get a metro map when you first arrive and you can't go wrong.
Taxis in Barcelona are cheap compared with those in other major European cities. They are another good way to get around when time is tight.
Don't go shopping in your swimsuit. This is an absolute no-go in Barcelona—plus you might end up with a fine.
Compared with those in most other metropolitan European cities, the prices are lower in Barcelona, and you can expect to find good deals in every neighborhood.
There are lots of small independent boutiques around Barcelona, especially in the neighborhoods of Gracia and El Born.
Most of Barcelona's outdoor spots are free to enter.
Barcelona parks close around 6pm during the winter, and around 8pm during the summer.
The Barcelona Touristic Bus is an easy way to explore the city. You can get on and off as many times as you like at any of the 45 stops on the three different routes.
Always remember to carry water with you. Some parks are huge, and there are not many places where you can buy refreshments.
